Pregnancy Week 11
During this week your baby's genitals begin to develop into a penis or clitoris and labia majora.
The body's growth is gradually catching up to the head which still accounts for about half of the baby's length.
All of your baby's vital organs have been formed and the brain, nerves and muscles are beginning to act together.
Red blood cells are beginning to form in your baby's liver.
By the end of this week, your baby will be about 2 inches or 50 millimeters in length from crown to rump and weigh almost 1/3 ounce or 8 grams.
Your first trimester symptoms continue to abate, and your uterus and abdomen continue to grow.
Your uterus has risen above your pelvic bone which may be felt during a gynocological exam.
